Morrice Blackwell has over 25 years of experience in the water technology industry. Currently, they serve as the Senior Manager of Utility Solutions at Badger Meter, where they collaborate with national water utility accounts to understand their operations and provide them with optimal hardware, software, and financing solutions. In addition to their consulting role, Morrice is a respected industry expert and frequently speaks at national conferences and events on topics such as AMR, AMI, AMA, IoT, data analytics, cloud computing, metering, and conservation. Prior to their current position, they held various roles at Badger Meter, including Senior Solution Architect, New Product Sales and Market Development Manager, Marketing Manager for AMI Networks, Manager of Utility Product Marketing, and Marketing Manager for Meter Reading Solutions, among others.
Outside of Badger Meter, Morrice Blackwell has also been involved in other ventures. Morrice served as the Host, Producer, and Founder of The Smart Water Show since 2020. Additionally, they worked as the President and Publisher of jazzreview.com from 1997 to 2013.
Morrice Blackwell holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, which they obtained from Marquette University between 1986 and 1991. Morrice went on to pursue their Masters degree in MBA, specializing in Marketing/Operations at the Milwaukee School of Engineering from 1995 to 1999.
