Munther Almudawi

Munther Almudawi has a diverse work experience spanning over different roles and organizations. Munther currently holds the position of Executive Director of Tourism, Education & Healthcare Investments at Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), having started in January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Executive Director of Education and Healthcare Investments and Head of Education, Healthcare, Tourism and Real Estate Investments at EDB. Munther also worked as a Senior Manager of Social Infrastructure Investments and Education Sector Manager at EDB. Previously, Munther held the position of Manager - Investor Relations & Government Affairs at EDB from September 2017 to January 2020.

Before joining EDB, they worked at Ernst & Young as a Senior Consultant and Consultant from August 2006 to April 2009. Prior to that, Munther worked at Bahrain Economic Development Board, where they held the roles of Senior Officer - Investor Relations & Government Affairs, Senior Projects Officer - Public Sector Reform, and Associate - Public Sector Reform from 2009 to 2017.

Munther Almudawi has a strong background in investor relations, government affairs, and policy development, with a focus on economic and investment priorities. Munther also has expertise in social infrastructure investments and public sector reform.

From 2016 to 2019, Munther attended Aix-Marseille University and obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree. The field of study for this degree is not provided.

From 2002 to 2004, Munther studied at Edinburgh Napier University and earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree with Honors. Their field of study was Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Management.

Prior to attending Edinburgh Napier University, Munther attended James Watt College from 1999 to 2002, where they obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Munther has acquired several certifications. In November 2019, they completed the Oxford High Performance Leadership Programme at the University of Oxford. In November 2016, they completed the Client Management Programme at Ashridge Executive Education, Hult International Business School. In September 2016, Munther also obtained the Leadership in Management certification from The Leadership Trust.

In June 2013, Munther obtained a Project Leadership Certificate from Cornell University, and in January 2009, they acquired the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
