Meagan R. Pitcher

Meagan R. Pitcher, Ph.D., currently serves as the CEO and Co-Founder of Bairitone Health since January 2022 and is an Activate Fellow with Activate Houston since July 2024. Previously, Meagan participated in the 2022/23 Biomedical Engineering Stream at Creative Destruction Lab and the 2022 ZeroTo510 Medical Device Accelerator cohort. Experience as Founder in Residence at Texas Medical Center and as a Licensing Associate at Baylor College of Medicine highlights expertise in intellectual property management and technology commercialization, including negotiation of over 75 licensing deals. Academic foundations include a Ph.D. in Translational Biology and Molecular Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine, complemented by research roles focusing on neurological diseases and involvement in NIH grant applications. Earlier career experience includes a Research Associate position at Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, where Meagan specialized in preclinical studies for neurological indications.
