Robert James Astell is an experienced sourcing manager with a strong background in the food industry. Currently serving as the European Sourcing Manager at Baker & Baker since April 2021, Robert oversees sourcing for a diverse range of ingredients including starches, sweeteners, and flavours. Prior to this role, Robert spent nearly nine years at CSM Bakery Solutions, where responsibilities included managing sourcing for buffering agents and contract management for various raw materials. Robert's earlier career at Morrison Facility Services involved finance roles, contributing to indirect sourcing and accounts payable functions. Robert holds a degree in Media & Cultural Studies from Liverpool John Moores University.
