Peter Helwig

Peter Helwig has a strong background in IT and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management). Peter worked as the Head of IT at Balcke-Dürr since 2017. Prior to that, they held the position of Manager PLM at SPX Corporation Balcke-Duerr GmbH for a long period of time, from 2000 to 2017. In this role, their responsibilities included acting as an internal consultant to the business units on product reengineering and the PLM methodology, influencing engineering software decisions, and analyzing PLM enhancement requests to drive universal solutions.

Peter Helwig attended Technische Universität Chemnitz from 1986 to 1991, where they pursued a degree in Konstruktionstechnik & Informationsverarbeitung. Peter successfully completed their studies and obtained a Diplom Ingenieur degree from the institution.
