Marc Pous has worked in the Internet of Things industry since 2012. In that year, they became an organizer for the Internet of Things Barcelona meetup community. In 2013, they co-founded 1000001 Labs and thethings.iO, where they were CEO and IoT Giant. In 2014, they became an Internet of Things Influencer for Intel Corporation. From 2015 to 2017, they were the Co-Organizer of IoT Stars. In 2017, they became a Sigfox Ambassador. In 2018, they became a Professor of the Master Internet of Things at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. In 2021, they became a teacher for the Master IoT at Zigurat Innovation & Technology Business School. Most recently, in 2020, they joined balena as a Developer Advocate and also became Co-Founder and IoT Giant of IoT Coffee Talk.
Marc Pous obtained an Engineer degree in Computer Science from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2006. In 2005, they attended Växjö University for Computer Science. In 2007, they obtained a Postgrade in Software Project Management from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. In 2010, they completed a Python for Beginners course from Peer 2 Peer University. In 2013, they completed a How to Build a Startup course from UDACITY.
