Laura Lench BSC (Hons) MCInstCES is a highly experienced commercial manager and quantity surveyor, currently serving as Commercial Manager and Commercial Lead at Balfour Beatty plc since September 2013, with a focus on the Smart Motorways Alliance - Production Hub. Previous roles include Senior Quantity Surveyor, managing client reporting, and leading self-delivery items on the Manchester Smart Motorways project. Additionally, Laura has held positions as Commercial Lead at SMP Alliance, Quantity Surveyor at Amey, and Assistant Quantity Surveyor at Holbrow Brookes, where extensive traditional QS duties were performed. Early career experience includes a role as Property Referencer in the Civil Service, where valuable supervisory and valuation skills were developed. Educational qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying and an HND in Building Studies from the University of Wolverhampton.
