Maryam Seif is an accomplished biomedical scientist with extensive experience in neuroimaging and biomedical research. Currently serving as the Deputy Head of the Neuroimaging Group at Universitätsklinik Balgrist since April 2018, Maryam also holds a position as a Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences. Previously, Maryam worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Neuroscience at the University of Zurich and completed a PhD in biomedical science at the University of Bern. Additionally, Maryam has experience as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Surgical Technology and Biomechanics. Maryam's educational background includes a Habilitation in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Zurich, a Master of Advanced Studies in Management, Technology, and Economics from ETH Zürich, a PhD in Magnetic Resonance Imaging from the University of Bern, a Master's in Biomedical Engineering from the same university, and a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering. Research focuses on advanced multi-modal functional MR imaging techniques to evaluate renal function in both native and transplanted kidneys.
