Alejandro Vázquez Vázquez has a diverse range of work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Alejandro is currently employed at Telefónica Tech as a Red Team Member, where they conduct red team operations and develops tools. Prior to this, Alejandro worked as a Cyber Security Analyst at Telefónica Tech, where they specialized in penetration testing and honeypot customization. Alejandro also worked as a Cyber Security Consultant at Balidea, primarily for Telefónica, but also performing security assessments for Balidea's cybersecurity team. Alejandro has a passion for bug bounty hunting and participated in bug bounty programs as a hobby at HackerOne. Additionally, they have gained practical experience in penetration testing through self-study and participation in platforms such as Hack The Box. Earlier in their career, Alejandro worked as a Cybersecurity Consultant and Pentester at dooingIT, where they performed security assessments and developed vulnerability assessment tools. Alejandro also completed an internship as a Network & Computer System Administrator at CDS, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, where they gained experience in incident management activities.
Alejandro Vázquez Vázquez pursued their education at Universidad de Santiago de Compostela from 2016 to 2020, where they obtained a degree in Computer Engineering with a focus on Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance.
In addition to their formal education, Alejandro also obtained several certifications to further enhance their skills and knowledge in the field. In September 2021, they earned the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) v.11 certification from EC-Council. Alejandro also received the Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) v.9 certification from PUE in April 2020.
Further expanding their expertise, Alejandro obtained various certifications related to penetration testing and ethical hacking. These include the eLeanSecurity Junior Penetration Tester (eJPT v.1) certification from eLearnSecurity in October 2021, as well as certifications in Advanced Penetration Testing, Web Application Penetration Testing, and Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking from Cybrary in 2019 and 2018.
In March 2022, Alejandro achieved two notable certifications: the Certified Ethical Hacker Master (CEH Master) certification from EC-Council and the Certified Ethical Hacker Practical (CEH Practical) certification, also from EC-Council. Additionally, in April 2021, they obtained the Cyber Security Foundation Professional Certificate (CSFPC CyBOK v.1) from CertiProf.
