Tim Peterson

Tim Peterson is a Senior Engineer in Product Development at Ballard Power Systems since December 2019, bringing extensive experience in engineering and product development. Previously, Tim served as a Product Development Engineer at Avalon Battery, where responsibilities included managing design verification testing, securing government funding, and overseeing a team of engineers to commercialize products. Prior to Avalon, Tim was an Engineering Analyst at Bombardier Aerospace, coordinating analysis work, mentoring engineers, and contributing to safety certifications. Tim's early career included the role of Mechanical Engineer at Océ Display Graphics Systems, where precision parts for an award-winning printer were designed. Tim holds an MBA in Management of Technology from Simon Fraser University, a MASc in Aerospace Science and Engineering from the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies, and a BASc in Mechanical Engineering from The University of British Columbia.
