Kristen Smith

Kristen Smith has extensive experience in editorial roles at Ballotpedia since March 2014, progressing from Assistant Staff Writer on the U.S. Congress project to positions including Copy Editor, Deputy Associate Editor, and currently Associate Editor. Prior experience includes serving as Store Manager at Broad Street Downtown Market, where responsibilities encompassed financial reporting, inventory management, vendor relations, and marketing efforts through social media. Additionally, Kristen worked as a Bilingual Tutor for private households from May 2010 to August 2013, providing instruction in mathematics and reading to students in Spanish Immersion programs. Kristen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Spanish from Hillsdale College, along with further education at the Center for Cross-Cultural Studies.
