Paul Shields

Paul Shields has worked in a variety of roles since 1999. From 1999 to 2002, they were a Customer Service Lead and Trainer at Media Play Inc. During this time they trained 30+ cashiers and sales associates and worked to reduce turnover and increase sales per associate. From 2002 to 2004, they were a Process Engineering Technician and Machine Operator at The Tech Group. Paul'sresponsibilities included machine setup, troubleshooting, optimization, analyzing production and prototype tools, producing prototype parts, and being part of a six sigma team to improve tooling, reduce scrap, and improve yield. From 2004 to 2007, they worked as Maintenance at ARAMARK. From 2007 to 2020, they worked at Medbio, Inc. in various roles including Program Manager, Project Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, and Engineering Co-op. During their time as Engineering Co-op, they provided production and engineering support, IQ/OQ/PQ qualification and validation including software validation, and laser welder process development and management. From 2009 to 2010, they were a Semiconductor Clean Room Intern at Grand Valley State University and from 2010 to 2020, they were a Graduate Assistant at the same university. In 2020, they began their current role as Senior Research Engineer at BAMF Health.

Paul Shields' education history includes a Master of Business Administration from Western Michigan University - Haworth College of Business between 2018 and 2020, a Master of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Grand Valley State University between 2010 and 2012, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Grand Valley State University between 2006 and 2010, an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts, Sciences from Grand Rapids Community College between 2002 and 2004, and graduation from Comstock Park High School in Comstock.
