Born in Gravina di Puglia (BA) on 16 August 1954, he obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1979.
After a work experience at the EC Environment Directorate in Brussels, in 1980 he was hired by Citibank dealing with wholesale for about 5 years banking and international project financing.
He joined McKinsey & Company in 1985, where he became Partner in 1990 and Director in 1996. In 1988 he managed the opening of the new office in Rome. From 2004 to 2011 he was Managing Partner of the Mediterranean Complex of McKinsey & Company. In 2014 he founded the company Terzi & Partners which carries out consultancy activities at the service of companies and financial institutions on issues of industrial strategy, M&A, corporate finance, and governance.
He has been an independent director of Banca Generali SpA since April 2015, of Value Italy SpA. He is also Past President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy, President of Nev Mobility, and Senior Advisor of BC Partners and Coller Capital.
