Carlos E. Montes Alas

Carlos E. Montes Alas is an experienced technology professional with a diverse background in information technology and digital transformation. Currently serving as the Director of Information Technology at Bancoagrícola since June 2017, Carlos has led the design and implementation of a comprehensive digital transformation strategy and oversees a software factory of over 400 programmers utilizing Agile methodologies. Prior experience includes roles at Millicom as Regional Product Manager for Digital Services and Innovation in LATAM, where notable contributions included the establishment of a Video on Demand streaming hub and implementation of a digital products portfolio across multiple Latin American countries. Additional experience encompasses leadership positions at Televip El Salvador, Seguros Universales, and HSBC El Salvador. Carlos is currently pursuing a postgraduate program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Texas McCombs School of Business, holds an MBA from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and possesses a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Dr. José Matías Delgado.
