Jose Francisco Almeida Cfa, Frm, Caia

Jose Francisco Almeida, CFA, FRM, CAIA has a diverse work experience spanning across different industries and roles. Jose Francisco started their career in 2011 with Public Research Lda., where they worked in Private Placements for nine months. In the same year, they joined Orey Financial as an Asset Manager and Portfolio Manager, where they monitored financial markets, presented monthly Investment Committees, and provided daily market call briefings to trading desks in Spain and Portugal. Jose Francisco continued with Orey Financial until May 2016.

In 2012, Jose took on the role of Secretary of the Shareholder's General Meeting at BIOPREMIER - Production and Development, a position they held until December 2016.

Jose joined Banco CTT in June 2016 as the Head of Portfolio Management, a role that they continue to hold. Lastly, in July 2019, they became a Board Member at CFA Society Portugal, serving until June 2022.

Jose Francisco Almeida has a strong educational background in finance and data science. In 2007, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Jose Francisco furthered their education at the same university, earning a Master's degree in Finance in 2014. In 2017, they attended INSEAD for a short-term program in Strategic Management in Banking.

Continuing their education, Almeida pursued a Postgraduate Degree in Data Science for Finance at NOVA IMS Information Management School from 2020 to 2021. In addition to their formal education, Almeida has obtained several professional certifications. Jose Francisco became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder in September 2016 through the CFA Institute. In January 2018, they gained the Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) certification from the GARP FRM Program. Most recently, in November 2022, Almeida attained the CAIA Charterholder designation from the CAIA Association.

It is worth noting that Almeida received their International Baccalaureate from Colégio Planalto between 1996 and 2004.
