Omar Moreno

Omar Moreno is a seasoned professional in internal auditing with extensive experience across various financial institutions in Central America. Currently serving as the Corporate Internal Auditor at BICSA Panama since September 2016, Omar has successfully led the transformation of the audit department, achieving global quality certification and implementing agile auditing methodologies. Previously, Omar held senior auditing positions at Grupo Financiero Ficohsa, Global Bank, BAC Honduras, and BCIE, where responsibilities included auditing internal operations, developing audit frameworks, and managing operational risk. Noteworthy earlier roles include establishing internal audit departments at banking institutions and senior positions at KPMG. Omar is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at Aden Business School, having previously obtained a degree in Accounting from Universidad de Panamá.
