Mohammed Rashidul Kabir Rajib currently serves as the Chief Risk Officer at Bank Asia Limited. Mohammed has over 9 years of experience in the financial sector, with a focus on risk management.
Rajib began their career in 2009 as an AVP and Senior Manager at The City Bank Ltd. In this role, they were responsible for designing the bank's internal client rating model in line with Basel II standards. Mohammed also developed the duration gap calculation model and prepared the Economic Capital (EC) assessment model. In addition, Rajib worked on developing the Stress Testing Model and ensuring its proper periodic execution and submission. Mohammed also designed the Value-at-Risk model and identified and designed the risk appetite and risk tolerance document for the bank. Furthermore, Rajib worked on developing the Supervisory Review Process (SRP). Mohammed also developed a matrix/model which is able to show the periodic status of account classification transition.
In 2012, Rajib left The City Bank Ltd. to join Bank Asia Limited as Chief Risk Officer. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing all aspects of risk management for the bank. This includes preparing enterprise risk reports such as Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and Risk Management Paper (RMP), as well as preparing various reports for management and board consumption covering topics such as market outlook, bank portfolio review, and SMA convention. Rajib has also been responsible for designing the Operational Risk Management (ORM) framework and adopting advances approaches like TSA & AMA for ORM.
Mohammed Rashidul Kabir Rajib has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business from Victoria University, a Master of Applied Finance in Finance from Monash University, and certifications from Grameen in Grameeen Certified Software Programmer, Microsoft in Microsoft Certified Dot Net Associated, and Microsoft in Microsoft Certified Software Professional.
Mohammed Rashidul Kabir Rajib reports to MD Arfan Ali, President & Managing Director. They are on a team with M. Esamul Arephin - Head of People Management Division, S.M. Iqbal Hossain - Deputy Managing Director, and Areef Billah Adil Chowdhury - Additional Managing Director.
