Jesper Staal

Jesper Staal has a diverse work experience in the field of data warehousing and business intelligence. Jesper currently serves as the Lead Data Warehouse Developer at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Danmarks Nationalbank as a BI Architect from 2018 to 2022.

Jesper also held important roles at Telenor, where they served as an Enterprise Solution Architect BI/DW, Senior Manager from 2015 to 2017, and at Maersk Tankers as a BI Architect in 2015.

Furthermore, Jesper has extensive experience from their employment at FIH Erhvervsbank A/S, where they held multiple positions including Head of Data Warehouse from 2013 to 2014, and Senior Data Warehouse Architect/Lead Developer from 2008 to 2013.

Earlier in their career, Jesper worked as a BI/DW Consultant at Businessminds from 2005 to 2008, and as a Consultant at Nykredit and SDC in 2006 and 2005 respectively.

Jesper Staal holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in IT from DTU - Technical University of Denmark, which they obtained from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they completed their graduate studies in Computer Science at Lyngby Uddannelses Center from 2001 to 2003. Jesper also attended Sjæløskolen from 1979 to 1989, though the details of their degree and field of study are unknown. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including being certified in TOGAF 9.1 and completing a course on tackling the challenges of Big Data at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2015.
