Peter Eckley

Peter Eckley serves as the Head of Data and Analytics Strategy Division at the Bank of England since February 2015, driving a major transformation initiative focused on utilizing data and analytics for the Bank's mission. Previous positions at the Bank include Acting Chief Data Officer and Senior Economist, where responsibilities encompassed policy advice and local data strategy. Prior to joining the Bank, Peter worked as an Independent Consultant at Eckley Consulting, providing services to notable clients like Ofcom and African Export-Import Bank, and held a managerial role at Analysys Mason in telecommunications consulting. Peter's early career included roles in research and business planning, with an education background featuring advanced degrees in Economics and Natural Sciences from the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge.
