Mahime Fernando

Mahime Fernando has extensive work experience in Quality Assurance and Testing roles. Mahime'smost recent position is as an Engineering Lead at Bank of New Zealand, where they transformed testing processes to align with agile delivery principles. Prior to that, they worked at ANZ as a Test Lead for Data and Analytics, where they created and implemented program test strategies and initiated initiatives for continuous improvement. Mahime also has experience as a Software QA Consultant/Agile Coach at Finetech, where they analyzed and created quality engineering and release processes. Mahime has also worked as a Senior Software Test Analyst and Squad Master at Trade Me, a Senior QA Engineer at Debit Success (Pvt)Ltd., and a Manager Quality Engineering/Scrum Master at Xcendant. Mahime has additional experience at Pearson Lanka (Pvt)Limited and Ecode Lanka Software in various quality assurance and software engineering roles.

Mahime Fernando completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Psychology from The University of Auckland between 2023-2024. Prior to that, they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the University of Colombo from 2012-2013. In 2003-2006, they pursued BCS Professional Examinations in Computer/Information Technology from the British Computer Society. In addition to their academic achievements, Mahime has received several certifications, including Influence Without Authority (getAbstract Summary) from LinkedIn in March 2022, Certified Product Owner from Scrum Alliance in December 2016, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from GoodAgile in April 2015, ISTQB Certified Tester from ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in April 2012, and Oracle Certified Java Programmer from Oracle in April 2009.
