James Watkins III

James "Trae" Watkins III is an experienced professional currently serving as Vice President of Community Development at Bank of The James since August 2020, where responsibilities include collaboration with management, community leaders, businesses, and non-profits on CRA services and community development initiatives. Additionally, James holds the position of Vice President at Grow a Future since July 2020 and previously worked at Virginia Episcopal School from July 2019 to August 2020 as Coordinator of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Assistant Dean of Students. Earlier experience includes serving as a QMHP-C at Life Lessons Family from November 2016 to June 2019. James earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Virginia Military Institute and a High School Diploma from Virginia Episcopal School.
