AJ Medina has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. AJ started their career in 2003 as a Corporate Sales and Training Manager at Protect America Corp. AJ then worked as an Account Executive at Rainmaker, where they specialized in network infrastructure and project management consulting. From 2006 to 2008, AJ served as a Channel Account Manager at TriActive, Inc. and later became the Division Leader and Sales Director for the Public Sector Division, responsible for revenue growth in North America.

AJ then joined SHI International Corp. in 2008 and held various roles, including a Business Development Manager and Corporate Account Manager. AJ acted as a strategic advisor for local government leaders and IT professionals, building customer and vendor relationships and driving the value of the company's mission statement.

In 2015, AJ transitioned to ThreatTrack Security as an Enterprise Account Manager for the North East and North Central Region. From 2016 to 2017, they had their own Private IT Practice specializing in enterprise cyber security. AJ then worked at KnowBe4, Inc. as an SMB Cyber Security Consultant.

In 2018, AJ joined Sweetwater Capital as the Vice President of Production, where they provided financing solutions for commercial real estate investments. AJ later moved to BankFinancial in 2019 as a Market SVP, Commercial Lending, specializing in multi-family lending and loan placement in the capital markets.

Throughout their career, AJ has demonstrated expertise in commercial lending, real estate investments, cyber security, and IT solutions.

AJ Medina attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1997 to 2002, where they studied Natural Science. In terms of additional certifications, AJ obtained a certification as a Real Estate Broker from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation in March 2019. AJ also received a certification as a Certified Data Loss Prevention Pre Sales Engineer from Forcepoint in 2017, and as a MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) in Designing, Assessing, and Optimizing Software Asset Management (SAM) from Microsoft in 2015. Furthermore, AJ has obtained several certifications from the Corporate Finance Institute, including Effective Business Writing, Equipment Finance, 3-Statement Modeling, 5 Cs of Credit, Account Monitoring and Warning Signs, Assessing Drivers of Business Growth, Assessing Management, Cash Flow Cycles and Analysis, Completing a Credit Application, Credit Administration and Documentation, Evaluating a Business Plan, Financial Analysis for Credit, Lending to Complex Structures, Loan Covenants, Loan Pricing, Loan Security, and Reading Business Financial Information.
