Brian Smedemark

Brian Smedemark currently serves as the Chief Commercial Officer at Føroya Banki, a position held since August 2023. With extensive experience in leadership roles, Smedemark has been a member of the Board and Chairman of Elektron's Board since June 2020. Prior to their current role, Smedemark was the Managing Director at Trygd and NordikLív, focusing on non-life and life insurance, respectively. Additional experience includes serving as the Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Product & Marketing Officer at TELE-POST, and as CFO of Faroese Telecom, where responsibilities encompassed finance, accounting, and IT. Smedemark's career began with consultancy and various financial roles, including an economist position at BankNordik. Smedemark holds a Master’s degree in Economics with a specialization in Management Accounting from Aarhus University.
