Michael Basen

Michael Basen has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Michael'smost recent role was as the Executive Vice President and Director of Alternative Funds Group at BankUnited, starting in January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Fintech Professional at NYDIG from May 2021 to December 2022.

From 2012 to 2021, Michael held various positions at State Street, including Managing Director of AIS Relationship Management, Vice President of AIS Relationship Management, and Assistant Vice President of AIS Relationship Management.

Before joining State Street, Michael worked at BNY Mellon as an AIS Client Services New Business Project Manager from June 2009 to August 2012. Michael was responsible for on-boarding and launching various Hedge Funds, Private Equity, and Fund of Fund clients.

Prior to college, Michael completed their high school education at Georgetown Day School, where they obtained a High School Diploma in 1998.
