Katherine Hertel

Katherine Hertel has a diverse range of work experience in the healthcare industry. Starting in 1998, they worked at Genzyme Genetics, where they managed a team of staff and was responsible for budgeting and technology selection. Katherine later joined Banner Health in 2006, where they held various leadership positions, including IT Sr. Director and IT Director in the Project Management Office. In these roles, they led teams and managed strategic initiatives and complex projects, including the implementation of electronic medical records. In 2018, Katherine joined Banner | Aetna as the Executive Director of Business Programs and Project Management, where they focused on utilizing technology to improve the healthcare experience. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated a strong ability to evaluate, analyze, and integrate innovative technology solutions.

Katherine Hertel holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Strategic Leadership, which they obtained from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Arizona. Additionally, Katherine has a certification in project management, specifically the Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
