Robert Groves, MD has extensive experience in the healthcare industry. Starting in 1994, they served as the Medical Director of Subacute Care at The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society. In 1998, they became the Chief Medical Officer, Board of Directors, and Co-inventor at Ascriptus Inc. dba Verbal World until 2005. From 2000 to 2002, they were the Medical Director at Health Recovery Center of Colorado and also served as the Vice President on the Board of Directors at North Colorado Medical Center from 2000 to 2001. Dr. Groves then served as the Chief Medical Officer at Banner University Medicine Division in 2015 before moving on to become the Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Banner | Aetna in 2017. Robert also held various roles at Banner Health from 2005 to 2017, including Vice President of Health Management and Chief Medical Officer. In addition, Dr. Groves has provided advisory services at CareCentra, Microsoft, and The Health Management Academy.
Robert Groves, MD obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Drama from Centre College. Robert then pursued a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. Following their medical degree, they completed their residency in Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Later, they expanded their expertise in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
