Tom Grote

Tom Grote has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, particularly with Aetna. Tom began their career with Aetna in 1987 as a Senior Vice President of Sales and held this position until 2010. From 2010 to 2015, they served as the President of the Capitol Market, where they oversaw the development and execution of the local market strategy and managed the geographic P&L. Tom was also actively involved in the development of Accountable Care Organization relationships. From 2015 to 2017, they served as the Market President of the Arizona Market and the West Territory Coach, providing strategic support for provider collaborations across multiple states. In 2017, they became the founding Chief Executive Officer of the joint venture health insurance company Banner | Aetna, where they have successfully bridged the two companies under an effective payvider model. Under their leadership, Banner | Aetna has become the fastest growing health plan in Arizona.
