Cami Thomas

Cami Thomas, Ed.D. has a diverse range of work experience in the education sector. Starting in 2010, they worked as a French Aide at Oxford Preparatory Academy before becoming a Substitute Teacher at Corona Norco Unified School District. In 2012, they joined Azusa Unified School District as a French Teacher and continued in that role until 2021. During their time at Azusa, they also worked as an Assistant Director and Office Manager at Project THINK, a non-profit summer academic enrichment program. In 2019, they transitioned to Rialto Unified School District, where they initially served as a French Teacher and eventually took on the role of Program Specialist. Currently, they are employed as an Assistant Principal at Banning Unified School District and will become a School Principal in September 2023. Cami's experiences highlight their dedication to education and their desire to take on leadership roles in the field.

Cami Thomas, Ed.D. holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Teacher Education in Multicultural Studies from the University of Southern California, which they obtained between 2015 and 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Master's Degree in Education from Azusa Pacific University from 2010 to 2015. Cami also holds a Bachelor's Degree in French Language and Literature from the University of California, Riverside, completed from 2007 to 2010. Additionally, they obtained college transfer credits from a French institution, École Internationale de Français, through Eastern Washington University via Education First in 2009. Cami Thomas also possesses multiple certifications including a Multiple Subject teaching credential and a Single Subject (French) teaching credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Cami has an Administrative Services Credential, and has obtained CA MTSS Administrative Pathway Certification from CA MTSS: OCDE. Furthermore, they hold First Aid/CPR certification from the American Red Cross.
