Dominique Julien has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Dominique started their career as a Research Assistant at the IRCM in 1992, where they contributed to the isolation of the murine grey-lethal gene by genetic linkage. Dominique then worked as a Research Assistant at the CHU Sainte-Justine Research Centre, where they played a role in identifying the Friedreich's ataxia gene and genetic mapping of the Autosomal Recessive Spastic Ataxia of Charlevoix-Saguenay gene.
In 1996, Dominique joined the University of California as a Staff Research Assistant, where they continued their work in genetic diagnostic testing and results interpretation. Dominique subsequently worked at Sequenom as a Senior Research Associate, focusing on FDA pre-submission for diagnostic assays, SNP assay design for diagnostic tests using mass spectrometry, and results interpretation and communication.
Dominique's industry experience includes working at Boehringer Ingelheim as a Data Manager and later as a Data Cleaner, ensuring data completeness and accuracy, resolving data discrepancies, and communicating with internal customers. Dominique then joined JSS Medical Research as a Project Manager, followed by a position at AbbVie as an In-house Clinical Research Associate.
More recently, Dominique worked at LiV Medical Education and Communications Agency as a Project Manager for a period of time before joining the Banook Group in 2018 in the same role.
Dominique Julien's education history includes a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Clinical Research Administration from New York Medical College/School of Public Health, which was obtained from 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, from 1998 to 1999, Dominique obtained a Certificate in Clinical Trial Design and Management from the University of California in San Diego. In 1988 to 1991, Dominique completed a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Universite du Quebec a Montreal. Additionally, Dominique pursued Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse studies at Collège Bois-de-Boulogne from 1982, with completion progress at 90%. Dominique also attended Centre de formation des Nouvelles- Technologies, Ste-Thérèse in 2013 for a Company start-up class and obtained a Project Management Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) from 2016 to 2018.
