Edward Bates

Edward Bates has extensive experience in project control and estimating, currently serving as Project Control / Estimating Lead at Bantrel Co. since January 2020. Prior to this role, Edward worked at Fluor Canada for nearly 18 years, ultimately holding the position of Director Of Estimating, where responsibilities included providing technical direction on project controls and estimating methods, as well as managing contract change due to variable costs. Earlier roles included Principal Estimator and Estimator at Chant Construction Company Ltd. and Walter Construction North America Ltd., focusing on heavy civil infrastructure projects. Edward began their career as a Field Technician at J.A. Smith, conducting geotechnical investigations and material testing. Edward holds a degree in Civil Engineering Technology from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
