Yaou Chen

Yaou Chen is a skilled Character Designer currently working at Baobab Studios on an unannounced show since August 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a Storyboard Artist at Nexus Studios, where character and storyboard designs were created for a stop motion animation directed by Siqi Song, as well as a Character Designer at Skydance Animation, contributing to character designs for a 3D series set to premiere on Apple TV. Yaou's early experience includes an Art Internship at Pixar Animation Studios, where character and set designs were developed for the films "Luca" and "Turning Red." Educational background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Character Animation from the California Institute of the Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Russian language from Fudan University.
