Xavier Galceran

Xavier Galceran is a seasoned cybersecurity professional currently serving as the Head of Cybersecurity at Barcelona Activa since December 2023. Previously, Xavier held the role of Senior Cybersecurity Innovation Manager at i2CAT Foundation, where involvement included the Cybersecurity Innovation and Competence Center (CIC4Cyber) of the Cybersecurity Agency of Catalonia. Additionally, Xavier has experience as an Associate Professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and served as the Cybersecurity Community Manager for the Digital Catalonia Alliance. Early career stages included roles such as DevOps Project Manager Technical at Barcelona Activa, Security Software Developer at Giesecke+Devrient, and internships in project management and data analysis. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Security of Information and Communication Technologies from Universidad Europea, a Master's Degree in Management and Project Management from La Salle BCN, and a Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
