Amar Kaul

Amar Kaul serves as the Chief Data Officer for Barclays in India since January 2023, focusing on data governance, quality, lineage, architecture, privacy, and technology product ownership, while leading teams across various business sectors, including Investment Banking and Retail. Prior to Barclays, Amar held the position of Executive Director at JPMorgan Chase & Co., overseeing data management and governance in Asset and Wealth Management, and influencing enterprise information architecture. At Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Amar acted as Vice President, contributing to data governance and quality initiatives. Early career experience includes roles at Infosys as a Database and ETL Software Engineer, leading data solutions for the Citi Private Bank Datawarehouse Project. Educational qualifications include studies at Columbia Business School and the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
