Amara Gossin

Amara Gossin serves as the Vice President and Head of the ESG Legal Practice Group at Barclays since January 2017, leading a team of lawyers to provide comprehensive ESG support and promote sustainable practices within the organization. Prior experience includes serving as a Vice President in the Corporate Bank at Barclays, and as an Associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, specializing in banking and finance law. Amara's legal career began with roles as Counsel at the Office of the Information Commissioner of Canada and as a Law Clerk at the Federal Court of Canada. Amara holds both a Juris Doctor and a Master's degree in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Toronto, earned between 2007 and 2010, and is also the founder and co-chair of an employee environment network at Barclays.
