Rowel Balot

Rowel Balot has a diverse work experience in various IT roles. From 2007 to 2011, they worked as an ITS Supervisor at SM Retail, where they managed over 250 point of sale terminals and back-office computers and handled server administration tasks. From 2011 to 2016, they served as a Senior IT Engineer at D&K Engineering, providing support to end-users in Singapore and California, managing physical and virtual servers, and overseeing network administration. In 2016, they joined Edge Technology Group as a Systems/Infrastructure role, where they provided IT advisory and consultancy, offered support to regional and global clients, and set up and managed various servers and infrastructures. In 2019, they worked as a Manager in Infrastructure Services at IHiS, where they were primarily responsible for managing infrastructure services. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Technology Officer at Bare Cove Technology, a consultancy and solutions provider based in Hong Kong, where they contribute to the improvement of daily workflows and meets the technological expectations of institutional investors and global regulators in the Asia Pacific region.

Rowel Balot obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Tarlac State University, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field. These certifications include ITIL - IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice, which they obtained in March 2020, VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization 2019 from VMware, which they obtained in January 2019, and VMware Certified Professional 6 - Data Center Virtualization from VMware, which they obtained in February 2017.
