Maria González Alvarez has over 20 years of work experience. Maria began their career in 1998 as an Analyst in Debt Capital Markets at JP Morgan. In 2002, they became an Associate in the European Energy Team at Moody's Investor Service. In 2004, they worked as a Consultant at the World Bank Group. In 2005, they moved to Google UK, where they worked as a Senior Financial Analyst. In 2011, they became a Travel Industry Manager and a Retail Industry Manager at Google. In 2016, they were promoted to VP of Marketing at CoverWallet. In 2018, they founded Rufus Pets. Most recently, in 2020, they became Co-Founder of Barkibu.
Maria González Alvarez has a long and varied educational history. Maria obtained their MBA from Stanford University in 2004, having studied Business Administration. Prior to this, they obtained a Licenciatura in Business Administration from ICADE, Universidad Pontificia de Comillas in 1998 and a Licenciatura in Law from the same institution in 1997. In 1997-1998, they also participated in the Erasmus Program at Université catholique de Louvain.
