Garnet Mayo

Garnet Mayo currently serves as a Business Development Manager at Barnes & Noble, Inc., focusing on generating sales through schools and non-profit organizations in northern Minnesota since June 2023. Previously, Garnet Mayo worked as a Middle School Language Arts Teacher at LITTLE FALLS COMMUNITY MIDDLE SCHOOL from August 2022 to June 2023, and as a Middle School English Teacher at Athlos Academy - St. Cloud from August 2019 to August 2022, specifically teaching 7th and 8th grade. Earlier experience includes a role as a Secondary Language Arts Teacher at Ayagina'ar Elitnaurvik in LKSD, where Garnet Mayo taught grades 6-12 from August 2009 to May 2019 while also instructing additional subjects as needed. Garnet Mayo holds a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Adolescent Literacy and Learning from Walden University, as well as Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communication, Arts and Literature and Secondary Education from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
