Dan Giedd

Dan Giedd has extensive experience in human resources, spanning over several companies. Dan is currently the Chief Human Resources Officer at Barr Engineering Co., a position they have held since January 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Human Resources at Barr Engineering Co. from July 2018 to January 2021.

Before joining Barr Engineering Co., Giedd worked at SunOpta as the Human Resources Director from August 2014 to June 2018. Dan also held various roles at Danfoss Power Solutions, including Human Resources Director for the Controls Division from May 2011 to August 2014, and Human Resources Manager for the Electronic Components Business Area from September 2007 to May 2011.

Giedd's earlier work experience includes serving as the Human Resources Manager at Phillips and Temro Industries from 2003 to 2007, and as a Human Resources Generalist at ATF, Inc. from 1998 to 2003.

Dan Giedd holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of St. Thomas - Opus College of Business, which they obtained between 2016 and 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management from Illinois State University, where they studied from 1996 to 1998. Before their undergraduate studies, they completed an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Business Administration and Management from Highland Community College in Illinois, from 1994 to 1996.

In addition to their formal education, Dan Giedd has also obtained certifications in Human Resources: Job Structure and Design and Employer Branding to Attract Talent from LinkedIn. These certifications were obtained in September 2019 and August 2019, respectively.
