Michael Fogarty III

Michael Fogarty III is a structural engineer with significant expertise in the design and analysis of various infrastructure components, including wind turbine foundations, hydropower facilities, and landscape structures. Currently employed at Barr Engineering Co. since July 2019, Michael oversees structural design projects compliant with regulatory standards and conducts forensic stress analyses. Additionally, Michael serves as a research assistant at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, focusing on rural energy cooperatives. Past roles include internships at Black & Veatch and Minneapolis Public Works, where Michael gained hands-on experience in civil and structural engineering. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota and is pursuing a Master's degree in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy at the Humphrey School.
