Melanie Martel

Mélanie Martel is a Partner at DLA Piper in Montreal, specializing in civil and commercial litigation with a focus on construction law since February 2010. In addition to this role, Mélanie serves as a Director at Société de transport de Laval and as President of Myeloma Canada since June 2020. With a commitment to legal education, Mélanie has been a teacher at the Barreau du Québec since September 2010 and previously taught at Université de Sherbrooke from September 2009 to August 2019. Mélanie has a solid legal foundation, beginning with a LLB with honors from Université Laval and furthering legal studies through an exchange program at the University of Victoria and a qualification from Barreau du Québec in 2006. Prior experience includes working as a Lawyer at BCF and Ogilvy Renault, along with serving as President of the board of directors at Centre de la Petite Enfance Les P'tits Soleils de Sainte-Dorothée from January 2009 to September 2013.
