Hayley Schommer

Hayley Schommer has a strong background in library services, with experience in various roles. Hayley started their career at the New Lenox Public Library District in 2014 as an Instruction and Technology Librarian. Hayley then transitioned to the role of Adult Services Librarian in May 2015 before being promoted to Assistant Head of Adult Services in June 2016. In 2017, Hayley joined the Barrington Area Library as an Adult Services Librarian. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Adult Services, which they assumed in October 2021.

Hayley Schommer has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from the University of St. Francis. Hayley also has an Associate of Arts degree from Joliet Junior College. Additionally, they hold a Master of Library & Information Science degree from Dominican University.
