Karen McBride

Karen McBride serves as the Public Information Manager at Barrington Area Library since April 2011, focusing on innovative marketing and communications for the library through social media and digital content management. With prior experience as the Web Services Librarian at Des Plaines Public Library, Karen successfully redesigned the library's website and developed online services. In addition, Karen has contributed as a Music Minister at St. Anne Catholic Community and served as an instructor for ILEAD U. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from Dominican University and a BA in English from Roosevelt University.
