Thomas Intrator

Thomas Intrator joined the Board of Barry Callebaut in 2022.

He has extensive Board and Operational experience leading complex global organizations. Thomas has a deep understanding of commodity markets, supply chains and logistics, risk management and market analytics. He has worked extensively with customers and business teams across Europe, Asia and North America.

Thomas Intrator currently serves on the Boards of Argus Media, a leading Price Reporting Agency for the commodity industry, Marquard & Bahls, an independent energy supply, trading and logistics company, and MacSteel Holdings, a leader in steel trading & distribution as well as a major shipping company active in the dry bulk market. He also served on the Boards of Norden and Polymateria as well as on the Boards of the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce and the Swiss based Groupement des Enterprises Multinationales.

Thomas Intrator held senior global roles in Cargill over a career spanning 32 years. He was CEO of Cargill International and President of the Energy, Transportation and Metals Trading Business’s through 2015. Prior to that he was President of Cargill’s Ocean Transportation business. He has also served on a number of Cargill’s Corporate Committees, providing oversight on business strategy , capital allocation, financial risk, process and technology as well as ethics and guiding principles.

Thomas Intrator holds a first class dual honor Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Politics from Warwick University and participated in the International Economics Masters program at the Institute of International Relations in Geneva, Switzerland.
