Al Cairns has a diverse work experience in various roles. Al began their career at Sports Authority in 2009, where they worked as a Sales Associate Cashier, excelling in sales and managing inventory. In 2010, they joined 24 Hour Fitness as a Sales Representative, building customer relationships and increasing sales through product knowledge. Al then transitioned to the After School Sports Program in 2013, coaching multiple groups of youth athletes in basketball and soccer, implementing curriculum and providing instruction on technique. In 2014, they interned at Paramount Pictures as an Executive Production Research Intern. Al joined Palo Alto Soccer Club in 2015 as a Professional Youth Soccer Coach, overseeing multiple teams and coordinating practices and games. The following year, they joined De Anza Force as a Professional Youth Soccer Coach and Google as a Soccer Trainer. Al Cairns is currently working at Barry's since 2018, initially as a Fitness Trainer and currently as the Market Talent Lead.
Al Cairns earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Entertainment and Tourism from California State University, Fullerton in the years 2012-2014. In addition, they have obtained several certifications including a National "B" Coaching License from the U.S. Soccer Federation in 2021, a Certified Nutrition Coach (CNC) certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in May 2020, and a Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT) certification from NASM in April 2020. They also hold a National "C" Coaching License from the U.S. Soccer Federation in 2016, a Premier Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America in 2015, and completed the Fiorentina Basic Coaching Course offered by NorCal Premier Soccer in the same year.
