Kara Groen has extensive experience in the field of music therapy and assisted living services. Currently serving as the Director of Aspen Cottage Assisted Living at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community since July 2017, Kara also held the position of Leisure Services Team Leader. Prior to this, Kara worked at Wartburg College from August 2011 to July 2017 as a Music Therapy Clinical Instructor & Supervisor and served as a Music Therapist at Cedar Valley Hospice from August 2009 to August 2013. Kara Groen holds a Master of Arts in Music Therapy from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Music Education/Music Therapy from Wartburg College.
