Jaime Fernand

Jaime Fernand is an accomplished legal professional focused on education law, currently serving as Of Counsel at Barton Gilman LLP since February 2017, where expertise includes charter school governance, student discipline, employment law, and crisis management. As Vice President of Tugboat Education Services since July 2011, Jaime supports education reform through regulatory and compliance guidance for non-profit and governmental leaders. Previous roles include Senior Counsel at Cohen Schneider & O'Neill LLP, representing charter schools nationally, and Chief Education Attorney at EdisonLearning. Early legal experience includes mediation work for the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
