Ivette R.

Ivette R. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ivette started their career as a CO-OP Practice at Laboratorio Clinico Camaseyes in 2009. In 2010, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez. From 2013 to 2016, they served as a Laboratory Teaching Assistant at the same university, supervising laboratory activities and providing assistance to students. Ivette also worked as an Assistant Researcher and Laboratory Assistant Coordinator at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, where they conducted analyses of natural products and ensured laboratory operations ran smoothly.

In 2014, Ivette had an internship as a Food Microbiologist at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where they performed microbiological analyses of food products. Ivette then joined USAID Farmer to Farmer in 2017 as a Consultant.

From 2019 to the present, Ivette has been working at Base Culture. Ivette started as a Food Safety and Quality Technician, performing inspections, monitoring quality practices, and maintaining records. Ivette later became an Assistant R&D Manager, responsible for monitoring product quality, conducting tests and studies, and supporting problem-solving initiatives.

Throughout their career, Ivette has demonstrated a strong commitment to safety, quality, and research. Ivette has gained extensive experience in laboratory operations, data analysis, and team coordination.

Ivette R. completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Microbiology with a field of study in Food Science and Technology at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez. Ivette attended this university from 2008 to 2013. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Microbiology in the same field of study at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez. Ivette also holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Food Science and Technology from the same institution.

In terms of certifications, Ivette R. received a HACCP certification from North Carolina State University in an undisclosed year. Ivette obtained a GMP certification from the College of Engineering - UPRM in May 2014. Additionally, they obtained a ServSafe Certification in Food management in September 2013. Moreover, they participated in various workshops at the College of Engineering - UPRM, including the Chemical Hygiene Plan Work Workshop in August 2013, the ASA Workshop in August 2012, the Environmental Management Workshop in August 2012, and the Health and Safety in the Laboratory Workshop in August 2012.
