Ricardo Dahis

Ricardo Dahis has a diverse work experience in academia and research. Ricardo is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro. Previously, they co-founded and served as the Data Director at Base dos Dados. Ricardo also worked as a Consultant at Futster.

Earlier in their career, Ricardo served as an Executive Research Assistant at Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), supporting Prof. Claudio Ferraz with data collection and cleaning for various projects. Ricardo also gained research experience as a Research Assistant at Climate Policy Initiative.

Ricardo Dahis has an extensive education history in the field of Economics. Ricardo obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Northwestern University, where they studied from 2015 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Arts (MA) degree in Economics from Departamento de Economia PUC-Rio, where they studied from 2013 to 2015. Ricardo also holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the same institution, which they obtained from 2008 to 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Ricardo Dahis has pursued several certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. Ricardo participated in an Executive Course on Impact Evaluation at Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) in July 2012. Ricardo also completed a course called "Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Using Python" at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in March 2015. Moreover, they undertook a course titled "Learning to Program: The Fundamentals" at the University of Toronto in April 2013. Additionally, they received training in "Statistical Analysis of FMRI Data" from Johns Hopkins University in June 2013, and explored the subject of "Social and Economics Networks" through a course at Stanford University in February 2013.

During their education journey, Ricardo Dahis also participated in an International Exchange Program at Sciences Po in 2010 and 2011, further enriching their understanding of Economics.
