Meshack Nyabiba

Meshack Nyabiba is the current Financial Controller at BasiGo. Meshack has previously worked at Andela from May 2017 to May 2022, where they held various positions such as Director Global FSR / SM Global Financial Planning and Reporting / FP&A Manager / Financial Analyst.

At Andela, Meshack was responsible for implementing the best finance and business management strategies and expanding the business from just 100 to more than 2000 employees within seven countries. Meshack also managed overall global financial systems, including ERP, financial modelling, and P2P. Meshack appraised the financial position and issued periodic reports on financial stability, liquidity, and growth. In addition, they supported the executive team in designing budgets and tracking KPI's as well as recommending action plans for various initiatives/strategies on the business model. Meshack also managed preparation and communication for all internal and external financial reporting.

Some of Meshack's key contributions during their time at Andela include deploying best-in-class financial planning software Adaptive Insights to provide the FP&A team and senior management with real-time forecasting and insights; meeting company reporting needs, including KPI's and executive dashboards by cooperating with FP&A and accounting leads; running integrative models for different countries on a single platform by designing a consolidated 3 statement operating model for the entire company in just 6 months; controlling and fulfilling financial planning and analysis needs for 7 countries from one place by implementing a shared services model; reducing operational costs and securing massive savings by managing finances for a multimillion-dollar largest tech campus in Sub-Saharan Africa; and performing

Meshack Nyabiba has a Bachelor's degree in Management and Leadership from the Management University of Africa. Meshack also has a Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management from the Kenya Institute of Management, as well as a certification in Financial Modelling from EduPristine. Meshack is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from ICPAK, and has a certification in USAID Grants & Cooperative Agreement Workshop: Procurement Planning & Execution from InsideNGO.

Meshack Nyabiba reports to Jonathan Green, CFO & Co-Founder. They are on a team with Susan Wanyoike - Manager, Finance & Admin, Bertha Mvati - Head of Vehicle Asset Finance.
