Markus Opitz

Markus Opitz is a seasoned professional in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as the Manager of Stability and Release Analytics at Basilea Pharmaceutica since November 2017. Previously, Markus held the position of Global Product Steward at Elanco, where responsibilities included being a subject matter expert on technical lifecycle aspects of pharmaceutical products and leading interdisciplinary teams. In earlier roles with Novartis Animal Health and Acino Pharma AG, Markus demonstrated expertise in quality assurance, formulation management, and development of solid dosage forms, notably implementing critical quality measures and successfully onboarding new suppliers. Markus earned a State Examination in Pharmacy from The Philipp University of Marburg between 1994 and 1999.
